For what was, and ever shall be known as the "Epic Failure of a Night"

It started with a dress hunt. Three malls in one day. Purpose: Vanessa's birthday party at Ibiza.

We were both certain that we'd find the dresses we had been lusting over for weeks at Macys, only to find out that this particular location didn't carry the brand. We decided to try our luck in the left over prom dresses section for both laughs and desperation. As you can see in exhibit A, it didn't go so well.

 Which lead to Laurel Mall:

Clearly no such luck. After giving up we tried our hand in Pentagon City Mall. Unfortunately no pictures were taken in the dress hunting process. I had a dress back home that was serving as a back up, while my confidant was still searching. Day three we found a dress a few hours prior to her celebration at H&M. It was a Christmas miracle!

Fast forward---> getting ready.

 When the three of us get together and there's a mirror involved, it always ends in a photo shoot of some kind.

There were no photos taken in the line of Ibiza, although I wish I had taken some. Despite our effortless attempts to get in, use the excuse that it's Vanessa's birthday, and the fact that we're on the guest list, we were still not admitted. The line was wrapped around the building and the bouncers were beginning to issue a cover charge starting at $45 and up, and an additional $10 fee if you wanted to cut the line. Fur across the street wasn't so bad, but the boys are underage. We tried Ultrabar where the line wasn't so bad, but again, the boys are underage. Lux Lounge and Town were out of the question. Apex would've been fun with tons of laughs, but Mike wouldn't have felt comfortable. Love-don't even think about going there! After driving around DC for about an hour we gave up and went back to Laurel.

This is our mad face! There was also:

The rest of the night was spent deciphering what was going on in this picture:
